Responsibilities:

• Designing and installing computer networks, connections and cabling
• Troubleshooting system failures and identifying roadblocks in the network
• Fixing problems in LAN infrastructure and testing and configuring software
• Maintaining and repairing hardware including peripheral devices
• Evaluation network performance to improve the network
• Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow
• Providing technical direction and giving training to coworkers about the network systems
• Working with vendors to get needed equipment for the networks and systems

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of computer network experience necessary
• Experience with network and system efficiency to implement network solutions
• Understanding of how to install and configure network equipment
• Ability to communicate with people with various levels of technical knowledge
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills to trouble shoot problems and find solutions
• Proficiency in computers, software and database systems
• Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
• Dexterity when handling manual repairs and tests
